Vanity Blues is a psychological surrealist short film following Camille, a young woman whose obsession with appearance and desperate pursuit of validation leads her down a path of psychological unraveling. After a chance at a modelling career is torn away from her, Camille's grip on reality begins to fracture — haunted by strange visions, a mysterious figure, and forces that seem to have been set in motion long before she was born. Blending dreamlike imagery, surrealist horror, and a deeply human story about judgment and identity, Vanity Blues is a visually striking exploration of what happens when a person's sense of self is built entirely on the perception of others.
